The Frostreaver Saga: A Guide to Caradawc's Journey

The adventures of Caradawc Tarangan, a Barbarian Shaman of Halas, upon the Frostreaver Time-Locked Progression Server.

Part novel, part travelogue, and part adventure chronicle, the Frostreaver Saga follows Caradawc's journey from the snowy lands of Everfrost to the ancient cities and forgotten places of Norrath.

Set within the world of EverQuest, the saga chronicles the friendships, hardships, discoveries, and triumphs that shaped the life of a young shaman as he travelled across Antonica, Velious, and Kunark.

Book One: The Path of the Shaman

Book One follows Caradawc from his beginnings in Everfrost through the adventures that eventually carry him and his companions into the wider world of Norrath.

Chapter One – The White Breath of Everfrost

Caradawc's journey begins in the frozen wilderness of Everfrost, where a young Barbarian Shaman takes his first steps into the wider world.

Chapter Two – Fellowship of Everfrost

The journey continues as Caradawc begins to discover the importance of companionship and the bonds formed through shared adventures.

Chapter Three – The Splitpaw Campaign

Caradawc and his companions enter the dangerous Splitpaw campaign, facing new challenges as their adventures take them beyond the familiar lands of Halas and Everfrost.

Chapter Four – The Call of the Wild

The journey takes another turn as Caradawc answers the call of the wild and continues to develop as a Shaman and adventurer.

Chapter Five – Into the Burning Land

Caradawc leaves the familiar cold behind and ventures into the burning lands of Norrath, encountering new dangers and new opportunities.

Chapter Six – The Lost Knowledge of Chardok

The adventure reaches the ancient Sarnak city of Chardok, where Caradawc and his companions seek knowledge buried among the ruins of the past.

Book Two: The Spear of Calling

Book Two follows Caradawc and Phephe, two new Barbarian Shamans of the Frostraiders, as they are sent together into Kunark by Break. Their journey takes them through the Emerald Jungle, the Swamp of No Hope, the City of Mist, and into the ancient history of the Iksar Empire.

Chapter One – The Spear of Calling

Caradawc and Phephe begin their journey together after Break sends the two new Shamans into the wider world of Kunark.

Chapter Two – The Truespirit Path

The two Shamans are drawn into a mysterious spiritual journey that carries them across Kunark as they begin to discover the nature of their Calling.

Chapter Three – The Emperor's Memory

The Frostraiders discover an ancient medallion fragment in the Swamp of No Hope and are drawn into the forgotten history of Emperor Ganak and the Iksar Empire.

Chapter Four – The Spirit in the Lake

The expedition continues into the Emerald Jungle as the Frostraiders recover the medallions needed for their journey and discover the spirit waiting beneath the lake.

Chapter Five – The Road to the City of Mist

Break and Cristy join the expedition as the Frostraiders follow the Calling through the Emerald Jungle towards the ancient City of Mist.

Chapter Six – The City of Mist

The Frostraiders fight their way through undead, golems and slimes before facing Lord Ghiosk, Neh'Ashirr and Lord Rak'Ashirr. Along the way, Izzy and Kabuki's bond deepens while Caradawc and Phephe continue their spiritual journey together.

Chapter Seven – The Road to Velious

Caradawc and Phephe receive their Spears of Calling before Ganak reveals the next stage of the Frostraiders' campaign. But Break has another destination for them: the frozen continent of Velious.

About the Saga

Caradawc's story began in the frozen wilderness of Everfrost as a young initiate of the Tribunal. Through hardship, exploration, friendship, and conflict, he travelled across Antonica, Velious, and Kunark in search of wisdom, power, and purpose.

Along the way he forged bonds with companions whose paths became inseparable from his own. Some travelled with him for a single adventure. Others became lifelong friends. Together they faced the dangers of Blackburrow, Splitpaw, the Eastern Wastes, the Burning Woods, and the ancient Sarnak city of Chardok.

What began as the tale of a young shaman would ultimately become the story of the founding of Frostraiders and the adventures that followed. Across The Path of the Shaman and The Spear of Calling, Caradawc's journey grows from the story of one young shaman into the wider saga of the Frostraiders and the companions who shared his path.

The sea breeze carried the smell of salt and tar across the docks of Freeport. Caradawc stood beside Izzy, watching sailors unload crates from a merchant vessel that had recently arrived from Faydwer.
